The following press release was issued on October 24th 2011.

Dates and format change for 2012 confirmed

November 20th event fully booked

The London Photograph Fair has confirmed that it is to change format in 2012 – with two fairs each year partially stand-fitted, while two will retain the former tabletop format. Meanwhile plans for this year’s final event are well on track, with a ‘full house’ of around 45 dealers taking part.

Fair organiser James Kerr said:

‘We are delighted by the high level of dealer interest in our final event of 2011. We have been working hard to open up the Fair to a wider audience, and we believe that in time this will pay off. We introduced a limited number of dealer booths at our May event his year. We will repeat the format at our November 20th Fair, and then will make it a feature of all future May and November Fairs.

‘We think this change will be appreciated by dealers as it gives them the opportunity to exhibit their more select pieces in a hung environment twice a year, without the high overheads of multi-day shows. At the same time, we will compliment the booths by up to 30 tables, and will continue to run two tabletop only events each year. This should help retain the relaxed atmosphere, and wide range of material, for which the Fair is known.’

The next Fair takes place on November 20th with 45 dealers from the UK, Europe and the USA taking part. First time exhibitors include Xavier Debeerst of the Anamorfose Gallery in Belgium, contemporary photographers Steve Brickles and Philippe Breson and Bonn based book dealers Hanno Schreyer.

The London Photograph Fair is the UK’s premier event for photography collectors. It takes place four times a year at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury, which is just 10 minutes walk from both Euston and King’s Cross/St. Pancras mainline train stations.
Full details of the fair are available on www.photofair.co.uk with the contact details for regular participants also provided. A preview of selected images that will be offered at the Fair will be available on the website in the run-up to the event. Once again free entry is available after 2pm on production of a voucher. This can be obtained by emailing info@photofair.co.uk. Anyone joining the mailing list will be entered in a draw for a £100 voucher, redeemable at the Fair.
