The 2017 Special Edition was held on Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st May, at The Great Hall at King's College London.

2018 dates to be announced shortly.

The London Photograph Fair - the UK's only established vintage photograph fair - held its Special Edition on Saturday and Sunday the 20th and 21st of May 2017 at The Great Hall, King’s College London, adjacent to Somerset House.

The boutique event allowed established international dealers specialising in vintage photographs and photo-books to present their own curated displays of their best vintage material.

The London Photograph Fair : Special Edition coincided with Photo London next door at Somerset House.

On display and for sale were unique and original vintage works from the entire history of photography from the 1840s through the 20th Century. Vintage modern masters from the 1920s rubbed shoulders with rare daguerreotypes and original 1960s film and fashion press prints.

The Special Edition presents mostly framed works displayed on dealer stands throughout the venue. It is a must-visit event for anyone with an interest in photography and its history, and the visual arts more generally. The London Photograph Fair : Special Edition provides an unbeatable opportunity for new and experienced collectors alike to see and buy photography of all genres.

Prices range from under £50 into 6 figures.

Taken circa 1847 by John Jabez Edwin Mayall of the Daguerrotype Institution, 433 West Strand, London.

This unique Daguerreotype of JMW Turner has always been held in private hands and has never shown in public - until now.
Visitors to The London Photograph Fair: Special Edition were be able to view this remarkable photograph of one of Britain's greatest artists up close.

The Location:

The Great Hall at King’s College London is a stunning historic venue completed in 1831 and designed by Sir Robert Smirke, architect of the British Museum and Somerset House. It is just east of Somerset House, connected by an archway in its courtyard. It is just across the river from Tate Modern and the Southbank Centre.
